Local Workforce Women Go National

Workforce Solutions Borderplex (WSB) is proud to announce that local service providers and partners, Heather Leach and Terri Leisten, were recently elected as At-Large Members to the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP).  

Ms. Leach and Ms. Leisten were selected by over 3,500 NAWDP members from workforce investment boards, American job centers, community and career colleges, military bases, youth employment programs, corporations, and faith and community-based organizations. 

Ms. Leach, who was elected to her second term, is the Program Director for Manpower Group and is responsible for WSB business services. “I am passionate about connecting individuals to the dignity of work and in order to do that successfully our profession needs a strong association like NAWDP.  I believe that we must become more innovative and maintain connections to the business community, as they are the ultimate customer,” said Leach.

Ms. Leisten, who was elected to her first term, is President of Dynamic Workforce Solutions and is responsible for operating WSB programs and jobseeker services.  “As board members, we  support the mission of the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals which is to connect, advance and innovate those working in the field of workforce development,” said Leisten.
