Things to consider . . .
In recent years, El Paso has been able to attract companies that provide IT services and jobs. The Borderplex region is also attracting the interset of new IT companies. IT jobs are especially important for the region because they offer higher wages than many other industries.
To retain and expand the existing IT businesses and attract new ones, the Borderplex region must produce skilled workers with certain certifications that the employers are requesting. The IT Training Program offered Summer 2019 will help Workforce Solutions Borderplex connect job seekers with employers in our emerging IT industry, where there is a growing demand and higher wages.
