Workforce Solutions Borderplex is offering Borderplex residents the final opportunity to take part in the award-winning Cybersecurity Technology Certification Training program that offers free training to selected participants.
Registration is now OPEN for the 2nd cohort of the Cybersecurity Technology Certification Training program that launches on May 20, 2019.
Potential candidates seeking to form part of the course must take their assessment test no later than May 10th.
This will be the last time Workforce Solutions will offer the award-winning training certification program that provides candidates with the necessary skills required to pass the five, industry-recognized, highly-coveted cybersecurity certifications in IT fundamentals, A+, Network+, Security+, and CSA+.
Candidates will have the opportunity to enter into this 12-week training cohort that offers a suite of a suite of (5) IT security certificates that build an individual’s capacity to work in the cybersecurity field. This innovative training program is targeted to adults; students; veterans, transitioning soldiers, and military spouses; and currently unemployed and underemployed professionals. The program will run Monday through Friday, from 9 am – 4 pm each day, so candidates who currently do not have a full-time work commitment are encouraged to apply for the program.

Testing will take place from March 14, 2019 through May 10, 2019 at the Workforce Solution’s North Loop Center, located at 8825 N. Loop, Ste. 122, El Paso, TX 79907.
A 65% passage rate is required in order to be considered for the program. Workforce Solutions staff will then contact candidates who have passed the exam to schedule an interview. Selected interviewees will then undergo a WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) eligibility screening. If they pass, they will then sign a contract of intent where they agree to complete the program and agree to seek and secure a job in the IT field upon program completion.
