This will be the last time Workforce Solutions will offer the award-winning training certification program that provides candidates with the necessary skills required to pass the five, industry-recognized, highly-coveted cybersecurity certifications in IT fundamentals, A+, Network+, Security+, and CSA+.

Candidates will have the opportunity to enter into this 12-week training cohort that offers a suite of a suite of (5) IT security certificates that build an individual’s capacity to work in the cybersecurity field. This innovative training program is targeted to adults; students; veterans, transitioning soldiers, and military spouses; and currently unemployed and underemployed professionals. The program will run Monday through Friday, from 9 am – 4 pm each day, so candidates who currently do not have a full-time work commitment are encouraged to apply for the program.

This is an intense IT training that will require candidates to:

  • Possess an aptitude for IT, with the ability to pass an IT Fundamentals assessment with an 80% passage rate
  • Candidates will need to prove their right to work in the U.S. by providing eligible documents
  • Candidates will need to commit to near perfect attendance while undergoing the program
  • Candidates will not be able to be currently employed in a typical Monday-Friday, 8-5 job during the training program, due to the program’s strict attendance requirement and rigorous course of study
  • The Cybersecurity Technology Certification Training program requires a full-time commitment from candidates in order for them to successfully complete the training and be ready to pass the 5 certification tests.

Candidates interested in taking part in this upcoming cohort of the Cybersecurity Training program MUST SIGN UP BY CLICKING THE LINK BELOW AND REGISTERING TO TAKE THE IT FUNDAMENTALS ASSESSMENT.

Testing will take place from March 14, 2019 through May 10, 2019 at the Workforce Solution’s North Loop Center, located at 8825 N. Loop, Ste. 122, El Paso, TX 79907.

A 65% passage rate is required in order to be considered for the program. Workforce Solutions staff will then contact candidates who have passed the exam to schedule an interview. Things to consider . . .

“The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that by 2020 there will be 1.4 million computer-science-related jobs available and only 400,000 computer science graduates with the skills to apply for those jobs”, making the Cybersecurity Technology Certification Training program all the more relevant to professionals seeking a well-paying, job-secure role.

Over 91% of hiring managers indicate that cybersecurity technology certifications are valuable in validating expertise. This high-demand program provides its students with invaluable tools to become assets for companies and special agencies.

“The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts there will be 1.4 million more software development jobs than applicants who can fill them by 2020.”

According to Steve Morgan, Editor in Chief of Cybersecurity Ventures, “There will be 3.5 million cybersecurity job openings by 2021, as Cybercrime is predicted to more than triple the number of job openings over the next five years.”

As cybersecurity becomes a greater focus at the state, federal and international levels of government, and with the Texas Cybersecurity Act becoming public law in 2017, the value of a cybersecurity certificate has become an instrumental tool for IT experts.

By focusing on high-impact, high-demand short term certifications, we have been able to provide candidates with an intense yet accelerated customized training opportunity that has enabled them to earn five of the most coveted industry recognized IT certifications in the tech industry.  Students from the prior two cohorts of the training program have all gone on to secure wonderful positions in the IT sector with an average starting salary of $55,000.
