Child Care Attendance Automation (CCAA)

Child Care Attendance Automation (CCAA) is the system used by parents and/or their designees to record their child’s attendance and absences from child care. Parents and their designees are issued a CCAA card for attendance tracking purposes.

Parents residing in El Paso County must call Child Care Services at (915) 500-7665. Parents residing in Brewster, Culberson, Hudspeth, Jeff Davis or Presidio Counties must call Child Care Services at (432) 837-9800 to report:

  • If a CCAA card is lost or stolen;
  • If a CCAA card was not received within seven (7) days of request;
  • If a CCAA card is not working properly; or
  • If fraud or misuse of the CCAA system is suspected.

Please Note: All unreported attendance will be counted as an absence and will be added to the child’s absence total. Child care services will be terminated once the child reaches the maximum number of absences and a 30-day suspension period will be applied before a family can be placed on the waiting list or reapply for child care.

CCS parents must ensure that the child care provider never maintains the CCAA card. CCS staff will investigate all allegations of fraud and penalties may be applied to include, but not limited to, termination of child care services.

Attention CCS Parents: If your child care services are terminated, please keep your card if you plan on reapplying for services in the future. The same card will be used to report child care attendance in the future.
