El Paso, Texas – September 15, 2016: Workforce Solutions Borderplex (WSB), in conjunction with local employers, will host its third quarterly Industry Job Fair next Wednesday, September 21st from 9am to 2pm at the El Paso Airport Marriott located at 1600 Airway Blvd. Jobs with immediate openings will be offered in the fields of manufacturing, production, retail and healthcare. To date there are 70 employers registered to participate, offering over 500 jobs.
WSB will also host a second Reverse Job Fair. The Reverse Job Fair is different from the traditional job fair model. “Borderplex Certified” youth set up booths to display their portfolios, skills and talents to employers. Employers will have direct access to engage with and interview youth who are ready for work experiences and internship opportunities.
“As we head into the fall, we expect a large turnout at this event. We highly encourage job seekers to become ‘Borderplex Certified’ so we can provide them with training in financial literacy, entrepreneurship & job readiness,” said Joyce Wilson, CEO of Workforce Solutions Borderplex. “It is an added benefit to the services we offer.”
The event is free and open to the public with complimentary parking available. Job seekers should visit their nearest workforce center prior to the job fair to learn more about getting “Borderplex Certified” which secures VIP access at all workforce hiring events.
