Workforce Solutions Borderplex, the non-profit organization dedicated to employment, education and economic development, announced the appointment of Ms. Emma Schwartz to the Board of Directors.
“Ms. Schwartz will be representing the community base organization (CBO) through Paso Del Norte Center of Hope and will make an excellent addition to the Board,” said Joyce Wilson, CEO of Workforce Solutions Borderplex. “Her great wealth of experience and knowledge in the healthcare industry will greatly benefit our organization.”
Ms. Schwartz is the President of Medical Center of the Americas (MCA) Foundation. She earned a Master of Public Health, Health Services Management from the University of California at Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology from Stanford University. She has been a Keynote Speaker and a Panelist at several conferences and forums throughout the community. Ms. Schwartz is a member of the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce and serves on their Healthcare Council. She is also a Board Member of the Paso Del Norte Center of Hope as well as WestStar Bank where she serves as the Chair of the Audit Committee.
“I intend to stay involved with the workforce board and offer advice and solutions for improving employment opportunities in El Paso,” said Emma Schwartz. “My goal while serving on the workforce board will be to assist the leadership at Workforce Solutions Borderplex increase overall wages and job opportunities in El Paso.”
