2016 STEM+ART Competition and Scholarship Winners

On Friday, April 8th, the 2016 STEM+ART Fiesta concluded with an evening awards ceremony culminating efforts that impacted 1,000 middle school students from the region along with over 250 competitors from 27 high schools.  

In conjunction with a long list of corporate sponsors, Workforce Solutions Borderplex is pleased to announce the following competition winners:

The Hospitals of Providence 2016 STEM Challenge (awarded $5,000 in cash prizes)
7th Year for Competition

1st Place - DelValle 
2nd Place - Parkland 
Best Business Model Canvas- Chapin 
Best Presentation – Presidio 
Best Elevator Pitch- DelValle 

Western Tech Gaming Competition (awarded $1,200 in cash prizes)
3rd Year for Competition

Prudential Math Challenge (awarded $5,000 in cash prizes)

Coding Competition (awarded $1,400 in cash prizes)

For the seventh year in a row El Paso Electric has sponsored the STEM event. This year El Paso Electric awarded ten $1,000 scholarships to the following students:
