Hello STEAM Challengers!

Workforce Solutions Borderplex along with community partners and sponsors are proud to offer you STEAMx (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math)! This year we are launching ten unique high school student competitions. Competitions include Architecture, Coding, App Design, Makerspace, Physics, Business, 3D, Robotics, Applied Tech and Math.

This year we are also offering teams to select from two different pathways (Micro and Macro).

The Micro Pathway is where a team can compete in one single competition element. Each competition has a set of parameters you must follow to solve an issue. Parameters are listed in graph 1: Competition Chart, page 4.

The Macro Pathway is where you compete as part of a larger collaborative set of teams that must work with a team(s) from another school utilizing four micro pathway competitions to develop a “Smart Tiny House Community Project”.

Another innovative addition to this year’s STEAMx model is, teams must work with other high schools when competing in Macro Pathway.

As you read through the Challenger’s Guide, you will learn about each competition element and how the Micro and Macro Pathways differentiate.

Finals will be held April 23 and 24, 2018!

After reading through our Challenger’s Guide please register your team below.

 Thank you and good luck!
